Activity Trackers for Dogs?

Written by Lori Hehn | Apr 11, 2016 1:00:00 PM

Activity trackers are becoming increasingly popular. There are now several brands of tracking devices available for pets, which are typically worn as a collar (not like Gracie modeling her owner's fitbit, but I couldn't resist the photo!)

Pet owners can track their dog's activity, sleep, and habits via their smartphone! Not only can it monitor the pet's information, it will provide data comparing to other dogs of similar size and breed. Activity reports are generated which can then be shared. Some models even provide GPS tracking, or even allow you to link your own device!

This new market is exploding for humans and now pets.  If you haven't already, you will soon have clients wanting to share their pet's reports with you!

Some current fitness trackers available include FitBark, Whistle, and Tagg. Prices for these devices range from $80-$130.
