I had never heard of this device until recently, but I find it very intriguing. The Assisi loop is a device that reduces inflammation. It may treat inflammation and pain in orthopedic cases, pets with degenerative nerve disease, used in wound care, for post-surgical pain, neurologic disease, and other applications. The device creates a magnetic field which helps to increase blood flow and oxygen to the are being treated. It has been cleared by the FDA. When we think about treating pain in pets, a multi-modal approach is often helpful, and this device may be an additional treatment option for our patients.
