Scientists have discovered that the animals can learn to use another human tool for communicating: pointing to symbols.
"The bird was outfitted with its very own pair of itty-bitty “snowshoes,” to correct a condition known as knuckling, which causes birds to be unable to open their feet to stand or perch."

California Wildlife Center found an innovative way to help this little mockingbird. I am always amazed at the ways we can help animals, whether complicated or simple. I am sure this bird is very thankful!
