Sebaceous cysts come from the glands in the skin that secrete oily debris and help to lubricate the skin and hair. Pets commonly get these "cysts", which many of us refer to as a doggie "pimple."
This large one will be surgically removed at the time of this dog's dental. The goal of this expression was to relieve the pressure as the top was about to rupture, flush it out, and hopefully it will be smaller and easier to remove during surgery.
This dog has a large sebaceous adenoma (growth) which is the pink fleshy area, with the cystic debris under it.
