City officials voted unanimously not to evict the beloved feline, reversing themselves.
quotesVTP-SuccessfulBlue.jpg A Texas town council voted on Friday not to evict a cat from the local library, reversing itself and averting a possible cat-astrophe. After being dogged by angry cat lovers, the White Settlement town council reconsidered a 2-1 decision evicting Browser the cat from the library and voted unanimously to allow him to stay, according to WFAA reporter Lauren Zakalik.

Dr. Hehn's Take

For 6 years, an adorable and friendly cat "Browser" has been residing at the library in White Settlement City, TX. He lives there, much the same as clinic cats live in our veterinary hospitals greeting the patrons that visit. He was supposed to be removed from the library after local councilman Elzie Clements claiming that "the library was no place for animals." The city council voted 2-1 to kick the cat out of his home. The citizens were up in arms apparently, and were hoping to have this vote reconsidered.

Luckily the latest news is that Browser will indeed get to stay at the library! The city council voted unanimously to reverse their previous decision, and will allow the feline to continue living there. Great news for Browser!
