This month I am very happy to feature Rexann Morrison, a large animal (equine) vet tech. Thank you Rexann for sharing your story with us!

Rexann did on the job training first as an assistant with Dr. Janet Arlitt in Georgetown,TX beginning when she was 19. Then she loved it so much, she found an amazing program at Murray State College in Tishomingo,OK and enrolled and moved to OK to go to school very soon after. She has been a veterinary assistant since 1997 and a Licensed Veterinary Technician since 2006. 

This month I am honored to feature Kate Dial, a certified vet tech practicing at a specialty hospital in the sunny Phoenix area! I love hearing different stories from wonderful technicians such as Kate in finding out how they decided to pursue the profession. Thanks Kate for sharing your amazing journey with us!

I am very excited to introduce you to registered veterinary technician Melissa Ortiz for our August feature. Melissa is a compassionate and talented exotics vet tech working at the Queens zoo. Her career path is very inspiring and she is doing what she loves in her dream job! Aside from her busy career, Melissa finds time to give back to her community in so many ways. 

Karen Bass is truly an inspiration to the veterinary technician profession. She graduated from vet tech school in her 50's after working in the industry on and off for years- proving it is never to late to do what you love. She works as a CVT and manager at a no-kill shelter and you will enjoy her story and many pearls of wisdom!

Krystal Baxter has a great story to share. She is a certified veterinary technician that is currently in a more non-traditional position working with Blue Buffalo.

She has had lots of different experiences in her journey and you will enjoy hearing her story!

This month we are featuring veterinary technician Roxane Rocks, who is a certified veterinary technician.

Roxane is a very inspiring role model for those in the profession and we are excited to share her story this month!
