Janyce is a 2003 graduate of the Veterinary Technology Program at Blue Ridge Community College.

Her professional interest in animal dentistry began in early 2004, when she began working at Pet Care Veterinary Hospital in Virginia Beach. Her fascination with exotics mixed well with her passion to educate and improve the dental health of clients’ pets.

Promoting quality dental care became her ambition and as a result she has brought a higher standard of care to Pet Care Veterinary Hospital.

ABOUT

In 2006, Janyce was certified as a Veterinary Dental Technician through the American Society of Dental Technicians.  She has recently completed the credentialing process, which included 6,000 hours of experience (3,000 related to dental practice) along with an additional 50 hours of continuing education in various areas of animal dentistry specified by the AVDT.  In 2013 Janyce obtained her Veterinary Technician Specialty in Dentistry. Also, she works with other clinics/companies to train their staff in all things dentistry.

In 2013 she was named Licensed Veterinary Technician of the Year for the state of Virginia.  She received this honor from the Virginia Association of Licensed Veterinary Technicians in recognition of her professionalism, expertise, and compassion and in upholding and improving the standards of professional practice and education.

When she’s not working at Pet Care, Janyce enjoys spending time with her two adorable youngsters, Kaitlyn and Brody.  Both children are involved in various activities, such as dance, karate, and tumbling, and absolutely love demonstrating their newfound talents!  Her fur family includes two dogs, four cats, all rescues that have found their way into the Cooper home.
