As of January 2018, the average pay for a veterinary technician is:

$14.09/hr, or $31,659/year

The rate ranges from:

$10.23-$18.23 per hour, and $21,467-$41,291 per year

The pay scale is connected mostly to experience, with credentials, location, and company playing a role. The numbers were collected anonymously from over 1,200 veterinary technician employees. The numbers were very similar between two different websites reporting this data from 2017-2018.
