Find me on:

World Veterinary Day is celebrated the last Saturday of April each year.

It is a day to reflect upon the contributions the profession has made to animal and human health throughout the year.

Veterinarians are an essential in impacting the global community by the roles they play in food safety and security, animal health and welfare, and making strides in public health.

Veterinary medicine largely impacts human health, not only animal health. Research in infectious disease, helping to create laws and promoting animal welfare, investigating infectious disease outbreaks and containing them, and being involved in global education on these issues are a few important ways veterinarians contribute.

As veterinarians and veterinary technicians, we can feel great about the positive impact our profession has on the world! Thanks for all you do.
